Viveria is designed as a secondary aid to be used in a choking emergency after standard first-aid techniques (back blows and abdominal thrusts/the Heimlich manoeuvre) have been attempted and have not resolved the obstruction, and while awaiting the arrival of emergency medical services.
- Viveria is not a substitute for calling emergency services (911 or your local equivalent). Emergency services should be contacted immediately in any choking emergency, regardless of whether this product is used.
- Viveria is not a substitute for CPR training, first-aid certification, or the Heimlich maneuver. We strongly encourage all caregivers to obtain proper first-aid and CPR training from a certified provider.
- Individual results may vary. No product can guarantee the successful resolution of a choking emergency in every circumstance, and outcomes depend on numerous factors outside our control, including the nature and size of the obstruction, the age and condition of the individual, and correct use of the device.
- This product should be used only in accordance with the instructions provided with the device. Misuse may reduce effectiveness or pose additional risk.
- Always call 911 beforehand, never delay calling emergency services to use this device.
